Gerçek Gündem: Where is the Gezi resister Gürcan Siviş?

Gürcan Siviş, a student at Statistics department of Mimar Sinan University, who was at the demonstrations at Gezi Park on 18 June and seen at Taksim for the last time has been missing for 24 days.

Siviş did not go home after talking to his mother on the phone for the last time while attending Gezi Park resistance. Siviş’s friends and relatives who are in an anxious suspense note that every passing day is against them. They call upon people to let Police department or Human Rights Association if they see or hear from Siviş who is also filed as missing according to the Bar Association.

DISCUSSED IN THE PARLIAMENT AS WELL

Umut Oran, CHP Associate Secretary General, addressed a question to the Minister of Internal Affairs about Gürcan Siviş asking the status of the search activities.

Oran, in his parliamentary question addressed to Minister of Internal Affairs, Muammer Güler, asked the following:

“Gürcan Siviş, a student at Statistics department of Mimar Sinan University, who was at the demonstrations at Gezi Park on 18 June and seen at Taksim for the last time has been missing for 24 days.

- Has Gürcan Siviş been detained by Istanbul Security General Directorate on this date or following days?

- Is Istanbul Security General Directorate searching for Gürcan Siviş? What is the information at hand about the missing citizen ?

- Which actions did Istanbul Security General Directorate take until now in order to find Gürcan Siviş and what were the outcomes? How many people were interviewed and consulted about this case?
