The state has to find that killer who shot my son

“On 16 June, as the police intervention to Gezi Park demonstrations was being protested, a cop aimed at my son, fired a tear gas and he was hit by a canister on the head. Since that day we are at the hospital. My son, Hasan Kılıçgedik wanted to use his democtratic right to react and responded to his environmentalist sensitivities. As he was not experienced participant in such events he couldn’t evaluate the extent of hostility by the police. However, the police sneaked in and crossed the barricades. The moment Hasan raised his head, he was hit by a tear gas canister on the face. The police fired it aiming to shoot him. The PM says that the police uses tear gas while intervening the riots in every country. But they don’t shoot aiming to kill. The PM says that he is a devout Muslim. Please somebody explain us, in which holy book such an attitude is justified. My son is seriously injured; with cranial fractures and cerebral hemorrhage. He will undergo an operation but they are waiting for swelling on his face to diminish. We want justice and ask authorities to find the ones who are responsible for this crime. Any crime this fascist state commits goes unpunished. I support my son’s sincere and innocent action. He has nothing to do with stock market, foreign exchange or any international organization. State has to give the account of such an atrocity. It has to find that killer who shot my son by with a weapon provided by the state itself.”
